Also, the company said 63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks . The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge. According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation. Abiru By Favour Ajibade The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday, declared Chief Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru as the winner of the Lagos East Senatorial Election, which took place last Saturday. According to the INEC Returning Officer for the the area, Prof. Simeon Adebayo Oladipo, Abiru of the All Progressive Congress (APC) polled 178,646 votes to defeat his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who garnered 80,249 votes. This, Oladipo said, represents 61.4% of total valid votes cast. In a statement signed and made available to the media, by Abiru's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Enitan Okukotun, the senator was re-elected into the senate after satisfying the requirements of the law by winning majority of votes cast across the district. Also, the Party's Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu also showed significant strength in the zone, as he polled 149,685 votes to defeat his closest rival of the
