Also, the company said 63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks . The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge. The Inspector-General of Police(IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has set up a panel to investigate cases bordering on alledged unprofessionalism, high-handedness and extra judicial killings levelled against some officers attached to the Zone 13 Command, Ukpo-Dunnukola and the Anambra State Police Command respectively.

descreet investigations into allegations and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said that a special investigation panel under the IGP Monitoring and Mentoring Unit has been set up to unravel those behind the alleged wanton killings in the state and further mete out punishments to them. The panel was given two weeks to dig into the matters, with a view to unravel the veracity of the allegations levelled against some officers in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The statement further quoted Bala as saying that: " The police has commened investigations into the weighty allegations of murders, intimidation, kidnapping and other criminal allegations levelled against the affected officers.
According to the statement, officers in charge- of- charge of the Rapid Response Squard( RSS), CSP Patrick Agbazue, Anambra State Command, SP Nwode Nkeiruka and the Police Public Relations(PPRA) of the Zone 13 Headquarters Ukpo-Dunukofia and Inspector Harrison Akama attached to RRS were on the directives of the IGP taken to Louis Edet for commencement of investigations into the allegations levelled against them.
The force, IGP said, would not leave any stone unturned in the matter, stressing that the officers would be rightly sanction, once they were found culpable in the charges made against them.
Recall that the officers were on Friday February 17th this year, driven to the Police Headquarters in order to start the investigation as soon as possible.
