Prior to this, he  taught in Osogbo Grammar School and worked at the Nigerian Communication respectively  after his youth service, a development, which no doubt prepared  him well for journalism profession and other future engagements.
Pragmatic, resilient and outspoken, where it matters, Ogidan ensured  that his tenure as the first Chairman of Pineapple Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos brought joy and victory to his people.
From a place, which looks like an hinterland as it was surrounded by weeds, the community is now inhabited by men and women amid developmental projects springing up around it .
This might have propelled a professional   colleague to appreciate pineapple estate whenever he comes around.
Succinctly puts, Ore, Your estate is growing. Had it  been my community in Oreta is like yours, it would would been a different thing? He often asked and Paused.
Thanks  largely to the efforts of the residents, coupled with the insights and cosmopolitan attitudes  of Elder Ade Ogidan and his successors.
One striking feature about Ogidan's is his humility. Describes him as humility personified. You are on point.
Reason being that hee he eats, drinks and grows with  humility. Describes him as humility personified. You are on point. Unlike today, when many are going about with empty pride, but prove to all and sundry that they are simple.
Despite his age, he welcomes everybody around him with enough respect. 'Bawo ni, Ise ati family nko are statements that have never departed from.
He does this with smiles, in a way, which reassures the hopeless and frustrated ones that their tomorrow is bright.
A strong member of the National Union of Journalists ( NUJ) ,Nigerian Guild of Editors ( NGE) , Odgidan, who was until recently the Managing Director, Daily Independent Newspaper, is a lover of peace, progress and developments.
