Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. Ikeja Electric introduces 2.0 enhanced service package for customers

Ikeja Electric( IK) has introduced an enhanced self-service package, with a view  to meet the growing needs of its customers.
Known as Singleview 2.0 web application, the package, which is the latest in its series, boasts of consolidated account management features, which is purposely for the company's customers in need of prepaid, postpaid, maximum demand, non-maximum demand and biletral services. 
Speaking on the package, the firm's Head, Business Innovation and Transformation, Paul Ehiagbonare said it became necessary to upgrade the Singleview platform in line with the company's customer-first, technology-mantra, as the  upgrade would support different classes of customers, while at the same time,  empowering them with features, functionalities and possibilities for excellent customer experience.

Be said: "As a forward thinking, innovative and customer centric organization, the Singleview 2.0 enables customers to have all necessary information at the tips of their fingers including how they can resolve issues and make enquiries without necessarily visiting or calling Ikeja Electric's offices". 
Paul explained further that  platform  serves as a major digital touch point which enables both prepaid, postpaid and bilateral customers to set up a new electricity connection, order for meters, manage their accounts and services online.
He said that that the product allows customers to view and download their utility bills, purchase electricity units/token, view energy usage and balance, view vending history, electricity availability in customer's area, manage multiple meters, manage access delegation, view loyalty reward status as well as tariff classes and rates. The platform also becomes the access point to Ikeja Electric's loyalty program expected to kick off soon.
Similarly, Utility's Company's Acting Head of Corporate Communications, Kingsley Okotie, urged  existing and prospective customers  to sign-up on the user friendly application  in addition to the functions earlier enumerated. 
Other features include enabling customers to know their  payment history and information irrespective of where they made the payments,  requests or complaints for prompt response by the Business Unit/ Undertaking Office in charge of such locations.
He further said that the upgrade to Singleview 2.0 would help in reinforcing the company's performance as a foremost power institution, which is bent on improving  services to its more than one million customers.

NNPC destroys 134 Illegal Refineries Recently

A destroyed refinery  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) says it has destroyed 134 illegal refineries in the last few weeks.  Also, the company said  63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks .  The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge.  According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation.  It further s...

NNPCL Reacts to Dangote’s Claims of Share reduction in Refinery to 7.2%

Dangote  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The President, Dangote Industries, Alhaji Aliko Dangote says the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) presently owns 7.2 percent of the refinery over failure to pay the balance of their share, which was due in June thereby reducing it from 20%. He said that NNPCL’s stake dropped to 7.2% over the company’s failure to pay the balance of its share, which was due in June. The 20 percent interest in the $20bn refinery is valued at $2.76 billion. In his words, “NNPC no longer owns a 20 percent stake in the Dangote refinery. They were met to pay their balance in June, but have yet to fulfill the obligations.
