NNPC destroys 134 Illegal Refineries Recently

A destroyed refinery  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) says it has destroyed 134 illegal refineries in the last few weeks.  Also, the company said  63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks .  The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge.  According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation.  It further said that two large boats, which involve

Bolanle's killer will pay for his offence, says families

Families and relations of Barrister Omobolanle Raheem, who was shot dead by trigger- happy policeman at Ajah, Lagos state, have expressing shocks over the incident, just as they promised to be more closer to the mother of the deceased lawyer more than before.

They vowed to offer her more pychological attentions in order to ensure that she overcome her predicaments.

Bolanle was killed inside her car on Monday, December 26th, by one Assistant Supretendent of Police Drambi Vandi, during an outing with members of her family. Incidentally, she sat besides her husband in front when the  bullet hits her.

Expectedly, the incident has thrown her family, colleagues and friends into mourning, with many advising Federal Government to make psychiatric tests compulsory for any Nigerians, who intend to join the police force or any other.military institutions. 

While speaking on the incident to News Mirror, the deceased cousin, Francis by name, the family would be very happy, once the government is able to get to the root cause of the issue, by administering justice without fervour.

He said: " Right now, I'm on my way to her ( Bolanle) mother, who is my immediate elder sister. I' m the next after she was given birth by our mother. 

Adding that: " Bolanle was industrious, helpful and kind. She was the apple of our mother, as she tried her best to take care of her.

According to her,  Bolanle engages in the sales and purchase of properties, stressing that she bought the Venda Car, in which she was shot a month ago.

" How on earth can a man in his senses opened fire on his fellow human beings? Is it not wickedness? What did my daughter ( Bolanle committed) Nothing. He flagged her down and the husband, who was driving the car stopped, without arguing with Him. The next thing was that he fired and killed the victim." 

Francis said that the family northwitstsnding that the Inspector General of Police ( IGP) has waded into the issue, would pursue the matter to a logical conclusion.

". We would not stop at seeing that Vandi( the police officer) was dismissed, but ensured that he is goes to jail. Vandi would due in prison, he prayed". Francis added.

Recall that the IGP in a statement signed by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer,addrd that the suspension is also expected to create an enabling environment for necessary legal procedures to uphold justice.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to the rule of law and assured the public of his administration’s commitment to ensuring that justice is not just done but seen to have been manifestly done in the matter.

He implored the public to be calm as all hands are on deck to ensure justice prevails while measures have been put in place to prevent

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023.
