Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. 2023 Presidential Election: NAGGAF plans to give Kwakwaso 10m votes

Stakeholders in the maritime and other sectors of the economy are rooting support for political parties ahead of the 2023 general election in the country.

One of such groups is  the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF). 

The group in a statement made available to the News Mirror recently said that it would  mobilize millions  iNgerians  to support the presidential candidate of the  New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Rabiu Kwakwanso.

The group further  said that it would  mandate ten million members to  commence house-to-house mobilisation exercise for the ANPP presidential candidate in order to ensure that the party wins the highest elective office in Nigeria, come 2023.

The statement read in part, “It has become obvious that the largest freight forwarding and logistics business organisation in Nigeria shall be throwing her weight in support of Dr Rabiu Musa kwakwanso for the presidential election 2023.

“It is on record that new NIGERIA peoples party NNPP is a sister organisation to nagaff dated 2001 . It is therefore a mandate for all members to commence house to house mobilisation of voters nationwide.

“It is a common knowledge that the entry points of Nigeria are fested with avoidable corruption and our businesses are suffering. Therefore the urgent need for practioners to take necessary steps to overcome these avoidable human elements problems can not be overemphasised.

“We want to know who occupies strategic ministries and parasatals overseeing ports and borders administration and management. The finance, Transportation and Trade and investment ministries shall be our concerns.

” Therefore the business outfit of nagaff— THE NAGAFF INTEGRATED SERVICES LTD shall have the mandate to establish a trust fund platform for all nagaff members , our clients and allies to contribute money for logistics needed in this regard.

“If we refuse to participate and show concern on who governs us in our entry points we shall continue to sing and carry play cards with inscriptions I NO GO AGREE WE NO GO AGREE . That is not the way to go in a democracy if we must be liberated to become relevant .

“All nagaff members are equally directed to ensure that voters cards are obtained and mobilisation of others for that purpose are commenced.”

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, says that it has mechanically completed the rehabilitation of Area 5 Plant of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC). The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023. The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Mele Kyari, said as of December 15th, 2023, 84.4% of Area 5 Plant, a key component of the Refinery, and 77.4% of the entire rehabilitation project have been completed. “In our quest to ensure that this refinery is re-streamed to continue to deliver value to Nigerians, we made a promise that we will reach a mechanical completion of phase one of the rehabilitation project by the end of December and get the other plants running in 2024.
