According to the Service Spokesman, Dr Peter N.Afunanya, plans are been made to return Nigeria to  the pre-2015 era reminiscent of  Improvised Explosive Devices IED attacks on soft and hard targets in parts of the country.
He said in a statement issued to the media and which the News Mirror has a copy of that are energies of the State( Government) are making plans to bomb strategic areas in Nigeria soon.
Afunnanya said that the Service has uncovered a ploy by suspected criminal gangs to forge alliance among themselves in order to launch further attacks on critical infrastructures and other frequented public spaces such as worship and relaxation centres during and after holidays and festive period
HE said DSS is on top of the game, as it has through intelligence reports being notified of such plans and also working to deal with it.
He said the objective  is to achieve some self- serving interests as well as cause fear among the citizenry.
The Service, however, recalls its earlier warning that some groups and individuals were plotting to stoke violence in the country.
The Service, according to its image maker, said that it is committed to the disruption of activities of planters of bombs among others, who are launching violent attacks on Nigeria.
The Service, Afunanya said, would continue to partner with other security agencies in order to uncover their plots and further need them in the bud.
It urged  patrons, owners and managers of religious,  relaxation  centres and other public spirited organisations to be wary of this development, as well as putting in place security measures in order to forestall the plans to forment troubles in the country.
To this end, residents are enjoined to go about their lawful businesses and share, with security and law enforcement agencies, useful information on the activities of criminals.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Service DGSS, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, advises Nigerians not to entertain any fears, as the Service is  working to keep the country safe.
