Fed Govt Slightly Reverse The Price of PMS

Queue at the filing station  The President,  Petroleum Products Retailers Owners of Nigeria( PETROAN), Dr Billy Gills Harry, says the reduction of the product, by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) is good for the nation'struggling economy, as it would help in soften the difficult situations posed by the sharp rise in the price of petroleum products. While reacting to the issue through a statement issued and signed to the NEWSMIRROR yesterday, Harry said that the slight reversal of the price by NNPCL shows that the government is committed to the alleviation of the problems of the masses. According to him, the reduction in the price per litre of Petrol Motoring Spirit( PMS) from N1,020 per litre to N899 per litre is good, adding that the country will soon get over its problem, if the readjustment of the economy continues. Customs- Nigerians: Smugglers Strengthen Attacks Against Us





The Nigeria Customs Service,Federal Operations Unit, Zone A (FOU A), has said that smugglers are attacking its personnel and the soldiers guiding them while carrying out their operations.
NCS, in a statement signed by FOU A's Unit's 
 Public Relations Officer, SC Theophilus Duniya, recently, said the incident occurred  in the week, precisely Sunday, 2 June 2024 at 3am. 
The statement reads, “A joint patrol team comprising FOU A personnel and some soldiers intercepted a boat carrying smuggled rice and vehicles by the waterside in Badagry, Lagos State. While evacuating the goods, a group of men, led by an individ


ual armed with dangerous weapons, attacked the team, injuring Customs Officers and a Soldier.
“The personnel acting in self-defence maimed the leader of the gang to prevent him from inflicting more injuries on the personnel and was evacuated for immediate medical attention”.
Commending the officers for their bravery and professional conduct, the Comptroller of FOU A, Kola Oladeji, urged parents and community leaders to discourage their wards from engaging in criminal activities.
He added:”The Comptroller of FOU A, Kola Oladeji, commended the Army and Customs personnel for their bravery and professional conduct in the face of a dangerous attack”.
He reiterated the unit’s commitment to combating smuggling. He urged parents and community leaders to discourage their wards from engaging in criminal activities that could put their well-being and other citizens at risk

Axella Plans To Deepen Gas Utilisation in Nigeria

Axella' s Director of Business Development, Mr Franklin Imole By Favour  Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade Axella's Gas Processing Plant announces Final Investment Decision ( FID) to develop a 50 MMASCF/D Gas Processing Plant, with h a view to deepen utilisation of gas  in the country. The firm, which is situated  in 0ML 56 in Delta State,  said that its making strategic investment in order to ensure that gas is available for industrial use in Nigeria.
