Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. A 35-Year Old Commits Suicide In Jigawa State

Tragedy strucked, recently in Jigawa State, as a 35-Year Old man committed suicide over hardship in the country. 

Identified as Samaila Ilu, the victim was believed to have hanged himself days after ruminating over the harsh economy biting an average Nigerian citizens. 

The victim, a native of Dungun Tantama Village, according to spokesman of the Police Command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said the incident happened on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

According to him, the deceased left his house peacefully to the spot where he committed suicide, adding the residents of the local government discovered hours after seeing the body of Ismailia hanging.

He said a team of police officers later took his corpse to the hospital for autopsy.
