NNPC destroys 134 Illegal Refineries Recently

A destroyed refinery  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) says it has destroyed 134 illegal refineries in the last few weeks.  Also, the company said  63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks .  The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge.  According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation.  It further said that two large boats, which involve

Ex- FRC Secretary, Obazee To Reform, Investigate, NNPC, CBN others

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr Jim Obazee as the Special Investigator of the  ( CBN) and other related entities.

The CBN  entities are Nigeria Incentive- Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Exports( NIRSAL Plc), NIRSAL MFB , Nigeria-Export-Import Bank Bank( NEXIM), Bank of Industry ( BoI), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).

Others are Nigeria Security, Printing and Minting Company ( NSPMC), Bank of Agriculture ( BOA), Assets Management Company of Nigeria ( AMCON) , Infrastructure Commodity of Nigeria ( INFRACO), Nigerian Commodity Exchange ( NCX) and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria ( FMBN).

Obazee's appointment, could be e described as the rejected stone that eventually became the head of the cornerstone as he was once sacked as the head of FRC

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, says that it has mechanically completed the rehabilitation of Area 5 Plant of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC). The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023. The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Mele Kyari, said as of December 15th, 2023, 84.4% of Area 5 Plant, a key component of the Refinery, and 77.4% of the entire rehabilitation project have been completed. “In our quest to ensure that this refinery is re-streamed to continue to deliver value to Nigerians, we made a promise that we will reach a mechanical completion of phase one of the rehabilitation project by the end of December and get the other plants running in 2024.
