Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. Army Arrests IPOB Fighter In Asaba, Delta State

The Nigerian Army troops  have arrested one wounded IPOB/ESN fighter, following the destruction of  their enclave in Asaba, the Delta State capital. 

The army destroyed the base of IPOB last Saturday. 

Also, troops,  according to Director,  Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu seized the following items: Four Motorcycles,  Double Barrel Guns, five AK 47 Magazines, 18 rounds of Live 7.62mm Special ammunition, 6 Mobile phones, two Power banks, six Boafeng Communication Radios and Chargers, an Android phone, one HP Laptop, 13 IPOB flags, one Power generating set, one Gas Cylinder, IPOB Uniforms and accoutrements as well as five improvised Beagles.

Other, Nwachukwu said, are two Automated Teller Machine( ATM)  Cards and a Wrist Watch.

Customs- Nigerians: Smugglers Strengthen Attacks Against Us

The Nigeria Customs Service,Federal Operations Unit, Zone A (FOU A), has said that smugglers are attacking its personnel and the soldiers guiding them while carrying out their operations. NCS, in a statement signed by FOU A's Unit's   Public Relations Officer, SC Theophilus Duniya, recently, said the incident occurred  in the week, precisely Sunday, 2 June 2024 at 3am.  The statement reads, “A joint patrol team comprising FOU A personnel and some soldiers intercepted a boat carrying smuggled rice and vehicles by the waterside in Badagry, Lagos State.
