Fed Govt Slightly Reverse The Price of PMS

Queue at the filing station  The President,  Petroleum Products Retailers Owners of Nigeria( PETROAN), Dr Billy Gills Harry, says the reduction of the product, by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) is good for the nation'struggling economy, as it would help in soften the difficult situations posed by the sharp rise in the price of petroleum products. While reacting to the issue through a statement issued and signed to the NEWSMIRROR yesterday, Harry said that the slight reversal of the price by NNPCL shows that the government is committed to the alleviation of the problems of the masses. According to him, the reduction in the price per litre of Petrol Motoring Spirit( PMS) from N1,020 per litre to N899 per litre is good, adding that the country will soon get over its problem, if the readjustment of the economy continues. Senate passes bill to complete Ikorodu-Shagamu Road

The National Assembly has passed the 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill recently, with a view to complete the Sagamu-Ikorodu Road.
The Senate passed the bill last week, in order to help facilitate the funds needed to complete the 30 kilometres road, which economically links Lagos Senatorial District to the rest of the country among other projects captured in the supplemtary budget.
Hitherto, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Barau Jibrin (Kano North) has  presented the bill to the Senate for consideration, while the Senate on the hand has  approved the bill, as well as transmitting it to   President Buhari for assent. 
Recall that the Minister of Works and Housing,  Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, early this December,  gave assurances about making necessary  provisions for the inclusion of the required funds for the completion of the road in the supplementary budget of the Ministry when the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA paid him a courtesy call in his office in Abuja.
Critical sections of the 30-Km Ikorodu-Sagamu road, from; Sabo,Okegbegun, First Gate, Odogunyan, Ita-Oluwo, Ogijo, Gbaga, Sotubo, Mosimmi to Gbara Village have been fixed, remaining less than 8 Kilometre to get to Sagamu. 
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to Senator Tokunbo Abiru and made available to the News Mirror, the lawmaker attributed the achievements to the instrumentality of its interventions via a motion moved by him.
 He said: “On The Urgent Need For Completion of The Rehabilitation Of The Ikorodu-Sagamu And Ikorodu-Itoikin- Epe Roads To Further Bridge The Infrastructure Gap And Enhance Economic Growth In Nigeria” in April 2021"
 Senator Abiru further thanked the Minister of Works and Housing Minister, Mr Fashola 
 for making the project  a reality. 
He equally recognized Senator Ggenga Ashafa, his predecessor in the Senate under whose tenure the project was started. In the same vein, the #DoingGood Senator also acknowledged the support of Honourable Babajimi Benson, the member representing Ikorodu in the House of Representatives for his support for this intervention.
