Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. Coca Cola takes Nigerians to World Cup competition in Qatar

The Coca-Cola System recently brought football  lovers in Nigeria together, with a view to watch  the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.  
The Company, which comprises of  Coca-Cola Nigeria and its bottling partner, Nigerian Bottling Company, achieves this goal through hosting lovers of the round leather game in a viewing centre in Victoria Island. 
Specifically, the centre  is not only located at Landmark Beach, Lagos, but also allowed people to catch fun, while watching the game organised by Federation Internationale Football Association ( FIFA). 
Incidence, Coca Cola is a lead sponsor of the 2022 World Cup, a development, which is borne out of a long standing partnership  with FIFA.
Interestingly, the beverage company was able to treat consumers to an electrifying evening on Sunday November 20th in an ambience that was 
reminiscent of a Qatari stadium.

Speaking on the issue, the Managing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Alfred Olajide explained, “Our Believe and Win ‘Under the Crown’ Promotion was the highlight of the year for our loyal consumers as we excited them with winnings worth over N400m, with five lucky winners securing the coveted all-expense-paid trip to Qatar to experience the live excitement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Today we are bringing that same magic to our consumers in Lagos, Nigeria through this viewing party as we officially kickstart the football season”.

Similarly, the Matthieu Seguin, Managing Director, Matthieu Segun added:  “Football remains a key passion point for Nigerians, and we will continue to foster optimism and unity through the refreshing taste of our beverages, combined with the sport which we all love”.

Recall that the firm had its 2022 campaign, when it launched what its  describes as " Believe and Win ‘Under the Crown’ Promotion in August to  October this year. Through this, consumers across the country were made to win airtime and 
 and an all-expense-paid trip to Qatar. 

Of note is the fact that the " Believe and Win ‘Under the Crown’ promotion "  reflects Coca-Cola’s continued support for football and the company has promised to continually  provide experiences that help promote bonding amongst consumers during the World Cup games.

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023. The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Mele Kyari, said as of December 15th, 2023, 84.4% of Area 5 Plant, a key component of the Refinery, and 77.4% of the entire rehabilitation project have been completed. “In our quest to ensure that this refinery is re-streamed to continue to deliver value to Nigerians, we made a promise that we will reach a mechanical completion of phase one of the rehabilitation project by the end of December and get the other plants running in 2024.
