Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. Bolanle's killer: 'Court remands ASP Vandi till Jan 2023'

A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Yaba,Lagos, yesterday remanded Drambi Vandi,an Assistant Supretendent of Police, in Ikoyi facility of the  Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS). 

According to the Court, Vandi will be in detention till January 30th, 2023, when the Office of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), would have issue an advice on the case.

Vandi is a happy triggered police officer, who shot a property lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, dead  December 25th, this year. 

The court made the order following an application by the Lagos State Police Command.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Benjamin Hundeyin made the disclosure in a tweet on his official Twitter handle 

Hundeyin, a Superintendent, said: “Drambi Vandi was, this morning, arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023 to give room for DPP advice.”

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, says that it has mechanically completed the rehabilitation of Area 5 Plant of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC). The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023. The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Mele Kyari, said as of December 15th, 2023, 84.4% of Area 5 Plant, a key component of the Refinery, and 77.4% of the entire rehabilitation project have been completed. “In our quest to ensure that this refinery is re-streamed to continue to deliver value to Nigerians, we made a promise that we will reach a mechanical completion of phase one of the rehabilitation project by the end of December and get the other plants running in 2024.
