NNPC destroys 134 Illegal Refineries Recently

A destroyed refinery  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) says it has destroyed 134 illegal refineries in the last few weeks.  Also, the company said  63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks .  The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge.  According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation.  It further said that two large boats, which involve

Accugas Limited, a company, in which Savannah Energy Plc indirectly owned 80 per cent stakes in,  has won the Human Resources ( HR) Best Practice Award for the Energy, Oil and Gas Sector.

The firm, a subsidiary of Savannah Energy, won the award during the 54th International Conference and Exhibitions of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management ( CIPM) in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. 

Savannah Energy is the British independent energy focused company, with interest to keenly explore its potentials in the industry for growth.

 In a statement made available to News Mirror, by the company, CIPM is described as  the apex regulatory organisation for the practice of HR in Nigeria.  

The statement listed other CIPM’s statutory mandate  to include determination of knowledge and skills to be attained by people seeking to become HR professionals, raising those standards from time to time, and enabling effective and impactful people management and organisational development in the associated areas.   

Speaking on the issue, Savannah Energy Nigeria's  Head of Human Resources,  Yetunde Onabule, said:

"We would like to thank the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria for this prestigious award in recognition of our efforts to promote excellence in HR at Savannah Energy. Recall that the HR Best Practice Awards were established, by CIPM,  in 2012 to promote excellence in people management and organisational development. The company's goals among others include celebration of  professionals who strive to implement best-in-class HR practices in their organisations. 

The International Conference and Exhibitions is the largest gathering of HR professionals in Africa. The 2022 event was attended by over 3000 practitioners from across the continent.

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, says that it has mechanically completed the rehabilitation of Area 5 Plant of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC). The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023.
