Fed Govt Slightly Reverse The Price of PMS

Queue at the filing station  The President,  Petroleum Products Retailers Owners of Nigeria( PETROAN), Dr Billy Gills Harry, says the reduction of the product, by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) is good for the nation'struggling economy, as it would help in soften the difficult situations posed by the sharp rise in the price of petroleum products. While reacting to the issue through a statement issued and signed to the NEWSMIRROR yesterday, Harry said that the slight reversal of the price by NNPCL shows that the government is committed to the alleviation of the problems of the masses. According to him, the reduction in the price per litre of Petrol Motoring Spirit( PMS) from N1,020 per litre to N899 per litre is good, adding that the country will soon get over its problem, if the readjustment of the economy continues. Four LAUTECH graduates win US scholarship

Their names and how they broke the LAUTECH record to be awarded fully funded scholarship at the Louisiana State University (LSU), Los Angeles, United States

Nigerians are breaking barriers, by winning fully funded scholarship abroad, a development, which indicates that given all facilities on ground in the country, they have what it takes to rule the world.

Recently, four graduates of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, South West Nigeria, were awarded  scholarship to study at Louisiana State University (LSU), Los Angeles, United States.

The graduates are directly admitted into PhD programme with their first degrees.

In a statement from the Principal Assistant Registrar, Public and Alumni Relations Unit of the University, yesterday ( Tuesday) the four are all Chemical Engineering graduates.

He said that it was the first time that four graduates of Chemical Engineering in LAUTECH were admitted into a PhD programme in the same academic session. 

“Based on the previous interactions between LAUTECH and LSU, the Department of Chemical Engineering got a call from Louisiana State University to present scholarship awards to best students from the department.

“The students are Otusanya Gabriel Tobi (Class of 2017), Oluwole Titilayo Deborah (Class of 2018), Dauda, Monsuru Olatunji (Class of 2019) and Balogun Toyeeb Olamide (Class of 2019).

“The development testifies to the dedication of LAUTECH in producing students that can compete with its peer anywhere in the world.

“It also justifies the belief of members of staff of the Department of Chemical Engineering in the ability of its students and presenting them for this opportunity,” he said.
