Oando Acquires Oil Block In Angola

Oando Plc  Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  Oando Plc  says it has completed and won the bid for the operatorship of oil block KON 13 in Angola. The firm which recently acquired Eni of Italy’s oil assets in Nigeria, said that the award of the oil block located in Angola’s onshore Kwanza Basin followed a competitive bidding process by the country’s oil and gas sector regulator. It further said hat the asset in which it owns 45 per cent participating interest, has estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. Abuja: A school teacher will appear in court over sexual assault soon

A 39-year old teacher, Igoche Daniel would in the next few days  appear in Court soon over allegation of sexual asault leveled against him.

Igoche, a staff at Destiny Christian Academy, Airport Road, Abuja allegedly assaulted a 14-,year old school girl recently and was subsequently charged to Abuja High Court by the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) Command of the Nigerian Police.

The Academy was owned by Dunamis International Gospel Church, a fast rising  pentecostal church with branches in Abuja and other parts of the country.

During the court’s proceedings, the prosecution counsel, John Ijagbemi, informed the court that this was the second time the accused person would be absent in court and thereafter declared that Daniel should be arrested for further investigations.

He added:”The defendant has chosen to be absent in court for the second time since he was released on bail. He had been duly served with the charges. He is yet to be arraigned in court.The accused and his surety assured that they will be in court but we are surprised to note that he is not here. We are asking the court to issue an arrest warrant against him to enable him appear in court”.

In his  ruling, Justice Akeem Fashola, said:”An arrest warrant is hereby issued against the defendant.This case is hereby adjourned to June 23, 2022, for the arraignment of the defendant”.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, arrested Igoche Ada, last year.He was arrested at his apartment in the Church building  in Lugbe and taken away in handcuffs.

He has since  been dismissed from the School after he was allegedly caught assaulting the school girl.

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023. The Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd., Mr. Mele Kyari, said as of December 15th, 2023, 84.4% of Area 5 Plant, a key component of the Refinery, and 77.4% of the entire rehabilitation project have been completed. “In our quest to ensure that this refinery is re-streamed to continue to deliver value to Nigerians, we made a promise that we will reach a mechanical completion of phase one of the rehabilitation project by the end of December and get the other plants running in 2024.
