NNPC destroys 134 Illegal Refineries Recently

A destroyed refinery  By Favour Ifeoluwa & Akinola Ajibade  The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited( NNPCL) says it has destroyed 134 illegal refineries in the last few weeks.  Also, the company said  63 illegal pipeline connections were uncovered during the the weeks .  The corporation, In a visual report, stated that at about 2 am on Sunday, a joint team of security agents discovered a large wooden boat illicitly loading stolen crude oil from Barge AGS01 within the OML 18 operating area, noted intelligence report a large wooden wooden boat was caught receiving crude oil from the barge.  According to the state-owned oil firm, while the barge was towed away with a tugboat in custody, five speedboats used in towing the large wooden boat to the illegal loading site were also detained and the particulars of the tugboats and barge used for the operation were reportedly seized for further investigation.  It further said that two large boats, which involve

Huge prospects, as Ondo exports Chocolates July

Brighter future awaits sons and daughters of Ondo, as the state would start exporting Chocolates to Europe and United States respectively in the third quarter of this year 

Precisely, the agrarian state located in the Western part of Nigeria, would commence exporting Chocolates to Canada and U S A  as from July, 3022.

The Managing Director,   Sunshine Chocolate Factory,Robo Adhuze,disclosed this during an interactive forum with the media in Akure

The Sunshine Chocolate Factory is a Public Private Partnership between Ondo State government and an indigenous company, Schokville Ltd.

According to  him, the exports of Chocolates to Europe from Nigeria woud bring about increase in  revenue from non-oil exports for the country as well as boost the state’s economic development.

He said that the idea would be launch in London by the Niigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Amb. Sarafa Isola.

He added:“The Nigeria High Commissioner to the UK is eager to launch the product in London. He has even invited us to the UK to exhibit our products, but we are waiting to complete all necessary documentation.We are the ones slowing things down as we want to ensure a hitch-free exercise otherwise, the launch would have taken place in February or last weekend.

Adding that: ," The launch of the chocolate in London in July will be the precursor to the exportation of our products to the UK.This year, we would have our first official export as virtually everything is set. 

He also said the company’s exploratory team to Canada would return soon and a date would be fixed for the Canada launch, while the U.S.A, would follow in quick succession.

The Chocolate bars, he said were were already on sale in the United States and other parts of the world, though unofficially. 

He affirmed that the Ondo State government was not interfering in its operations, despite the fact that it is a  stakeholder.

NNPC Completes Mechanical Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refinery Plant

The nation's oil company began rehabilitation of the refinery two years ago, while at the same time, promised to complete its by 31st December 2023.
